
My Story
I have been in your shoes. I know your struggles as those used to be mine as well. After battling with eating disorders (restrictive diets, orthorexia, binge eating) and the so-called "IBS" (what does it really mean?) for a long period of my life , I got diagnosed in my late 20s with an autoimmune condition, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, as well as a hormonal imbalance called polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). I had gained 12kgs, developed strong adult acne, extreme fatigue, painful bloating, anxiety and low mood, as well as irregular periods (hello 45+ day cycles!). There was a point where I didn't know what to eat anymore (low FODMAP? Paleo? Keto?)
Whilst my hormonal treatment, Levothyrox, did lower my TSH levels in blood tests, it didn't truly help alleviate my chronic fatigue, difficulty losing weight, generalized anxiety, and overall health. And it definitely did not bring back my regular period. I had then realized that the conventional treatment dismissed entirely the underlying cause of my condition: an immune system imbalance. I was convinced that in order to feel better, I needed a more holistic approach to my health.
Determined to regain control of my health, I immersed myself in researching natural alternatives, uncovering the profound impact of nutrition on overall well-being. This exploration enhanced further more my passion for nutrition and nutritional therapy, prompting me to pursue formal education at The College of Naturopathic Medicine in London. Through three years of intensive training and clinical practice, I witnessed firsthand the transformative power of nutrition and lifestyle changes.
My goal now is to equip you with the most current information and tools needed to achieve optimal health, empowering you on your own journey toward wellness.
